A good fit if
- Visitors arrive but don't convert
- Support keeps getting the same how-do-I questions
- You're planning a redesign and want to know what to fix
- Your product has grown and feels inconsistent
- You need an outside view before investing in new features
Redesigning anyway?
Every redesign we do starts with an audit, so nothing that works gets lost.
Website redesignQuestions, answered
What people usually ask before a UX audit.
What is a UX audit?
A structured review of an existing website or app to find what makes it hard to use. You get a ranked list of problems with a recommended fix for each. Our article on what a UX audit is explains the method in more detail.
When should we get a UX audit?
When visitors arrive but don't sign up, buy or get in touch; before a redesign, so you know what to keep and what to fix; or when a product has grown screen by screen and feels inconsistent.
Is a UX audit the same as user testing?
No. An audit is an expert review, which finds most common problems quickly and for less. User testing watches real people use the product and catches what experts miss. Many audits end with a short round of user testing on the biggest problems.
How much does a UX audit cost?
It depends on the size of the product and how many journeys we review. After a short discovery call you get a proposal with the scope, timeline and price.
Is UX work worth it for a small business?
Usually, yes, because fixing a confusing form or menu is cheap compared with the visitors it loses. We wrote about it in is UX design worth it?
